My grandparents went travelling to the sea coast in South Africa in particular Cape Town and they always used to bring back sea shells. When i went to the sea side, Brighton, I did the same thing. I brought back sea shells. It’s so odd how little things such as bringing sea shells back would affect the way I think when it comes to the sea. So every time I go to the sea, i bring sea shells back…all because my grandparents did that. So make sure you do something interesting and unique which your grandchildren might pick up and do as well…

You know when spring is coming when flowers start to bloom. Look at this red rose above, it was the only one which was coming up and it sort of reminded me of how we should be in life. You know how sometimes we want to go along with the crowd because you don’t want to be singled out. Tell me, how many opportunities have you missed because you didn’t to step out. Well hear this, that rose managed to rise up and shine and grow. So this year do the same. 2012 is a year in which you must shine and you can’t do that when you are looking to see who is watching you. So shine….

I’m not big on Beyoncé’s new album , 4 I thought compared to the other albums which she had written this one was quite different. The only song which I like is “I was here”. Now this song gives me goosebumps each time I listen to it. It’s something we all think about but we never really sit down and get to actually plan everything. How will people know you were here is the big question. Do you want to just be a nobody and not make a difference in your own world. You don’t want people to be saying oh remember ______(insert name). And everyone will be like no idea. I’m not saying that you have to be famous or do something crazy for them to know you but you have talents. Not sure what they are? You probably haven’t discovered yours in that case. You need to get on it fast. That’s what will help you make your mark. Mine is writing. But I keep loosing focus on it and it has been really bad but I am working on it. They do say that talents get taken away when they are not used so know your talents and use them to make your mark. Remember you were here.

Sometimes one needs to cry. Today i felt so depressed and i just wanted to cry but i just couldn’t find it in me to go to my bedroom and cry. I sought some advice from a friend who basically made me realise that i should stop moaning and for a while I felt better but i still wanted to cry. Spoke to a couple of other people and the effect was the same, I would be fine for a couple of minutes but i still wanted to cry. A word kept popping in my mind, CATHARTIC. I learnt this word when i was in Sixth Form studying English Literature and it stuck in my head. It means cleansing mainly of emotions. And that’s what i’m going to do tonight in bed, i’m going to cry. I’m going to cry for all the bad things that happen in my life, all the things that didn’t work out. I’m going to cry about the good things that have happened and then i’m going to cry myself to sleep. That is my catharsis. That will be my cleansing. Then after that, i won’t cry again( unless something bad happens. )
